HIGHLANDS, NJ – On August 20, 2011, Highlands Republican Candidates Robert Keaveny, Kevin Connelly, and Melissa Cerciello, were present at the Sandwitch Shop located on Waterwitch Ave. in Highlands to literally “serve” customers coming in for breakfast. The 3 republican Candidates, for 2 hours from 9-11 A.M. acted as servers for Sandwitch Shop customers taking orders, serving breakfast, and busing tables. This campaign event was the brainchild of Linda Mikhail and other members of the Highlands Republican Campaign team.  “We thought this would be a fun way for our candidates to meet and greet members of the community. We were looking for a new way for people to get to know our candidates”, Mikhail Commented.

The three candidates not only served members of the public but answered questions and received much useful feedback regarding concerns of the community. “We might have gotten a couple of the orders wrong”, said candidate Robert Keaveny, “But by doing events like this we hope to get things right when we are elected in November. Only by listening to members of the community can this be accomplished”.  The Candidates will once again be on hand to “serve” the public again at the Sandwitch shop on 10/22/11.
