PORT MONMOUTH, NJ — The Monmouth County Park System is proud to announce the re-opening of the newly renovated Bayshore Waterfront Park Activity Center, Port Monmouth. On Saturday, August 6 from 11am-5pm the Activity Center will open to the public with brand new historical and nature exhibits, funded by Friends of the Parks, as well as rooms to be used for Park System programs and events.

Supervising Historic Preservation Specialist Gail Hunton explains: “The restoration of the Seabrook-Wilson House, returned the exterior of the historic landmark to its documented 1896 appearance and renovated the building for its new use as Bayshore Waterfront Park’s Activity Center. Two rooms of new exhibits share stories of Sandy Hook Bay’s ecology, growth and change of the Seabrook-Wilson House through the generations, and the vital connection between this site and the greater Bayshore community.”
The Bayshore Waterfront Park Activity Center will be open to the public to view the restoration, exhibits and beautiful views of Sandy Hook Bay from 11am-5pm every weekend through October. The Activity Center will also be host to a variety of Park System programs which include upcoming autumn programs like Dolphins and Marine Animals, For Goodness Snakes, and Batty About Bats.
