Middletown, NJ – In Remembrance of the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, The Middletown Township PBA 124 invites you to attend its annual Charity Ball to benefit The Kenneth Tietjen Memorial Foundation. The event is being held on Saturday September 10th, 2011 at The Shore Casino in the Atlantic Highlands Harbor.

Kenny was a Port Authority Police Officer that resided in Middletown along with his family. On September 11th, 2001 he was assigned to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Once the first aircraft struck the tower, Kenney ran out and commandeered a taxi cab and raced down to the World Trade Center location, without hesitation. With total disregard of safety for his own life, Kenney immediately went in to the towers to help evacuate and save as many lives as he could, while in the process of saving countless lives that day Kenney paid the ultimate sacrifice that day and perished in the collapse of the towers. Kenney lives on as a hero for his heroic efforts to save as many people as he could.
