On behalf of the officers, directors, benefactors, trustees and volunteers of the Genevieve M. Hawley Memorial Foundation, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made our annual awards luncheon another resounding success. We offer special thanks the foundation’s good friend; John Valentin, for his never ending support and to the Flaky Tart Bakery, of Atlantic Highlands.

In particular, I would like to offer our sincere congratulations to our 2011 scholarship and community service award winners. This year’s award winners include; Michael Going and Nicole Salerno, of Henry Hudson Regional High School; Joshua Pinhas, of the Atlantic Highlands Elementary School; Madeleine Fortier, of Mother Teresa Regional School; Anita Keelan, of Freehold High School; Victoria DeSpirito, of Thompson Middle School; Amy Conrad, of the Highlands Elementary School; Kristen Williams, of the Henry Hudson Regional Middle School; Kevin Perret, of Middletown Township High School South; and Megan Damore, of the Freehold Middle School.

We are now looking forward to our 2011 summer camp program as well as our summer reading program and our newly enacted police dog vest program. We are also looking forward to seeing everyone at the 11th Annual Genevieve M. Hawley Memorial Basketball Tournament that will take place in December. Thank you to everyone who has allowed our foundation and mission to grow each and every year. We are humbled and we will continue our mission in memory of our parents; Genevieve M. Hawley  and Bartholomew “Bart” Hawley, two people who taught us that public service and service to others is of paramount importance in our society.

     Sincerely yours,

     Joseph Hawley, President and CEO,
