HIGHLANDS, NJ – Democrat Kevin Redmond, 59, of Ocean Avenue will be running for a one-year unexpired term on the Borough Council in November.

He will face Republican Robert Keaveny, 40, of Huddy Avenue; and Arthur Gallagher, 52, of Linden Avenue. Gallagher filed to run as an independent on Tuesday.

When Frank Nolan won the Mayor’s race last year he left vacant his council seat with two years remaining on the term.  The council seat was filled Republican Kevin Connelly, 54, of Shore Drive.  Connelly is seeking a full three-year term on the council in November, leaving the unexpired one-year term to be filled.
