ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – The Rev. Michael Riley will lead the 10 a.m. Sunday service at the First Presbyterian Church marking Pentecost.

Following the service, the Board of Deacons will conduct its annual Strawberry Festival, which is open to the public.

The new pastor’s sermon will be entitled “The Wind and the Fire of the Holy Spirit.”

The church’s Worship and Spiritual Life Committee will decorate the sanctuary in red and attendees are urged to dress in red, the traditional color of Pentecost, the time when the Holy Spirit filled believers with power and, insight, and great joy.

Riley will continue his popular “mystery bag” children’s sermon series when youngsters try to “stump the pastor” by placing a personal “treasure” in a brown paper bag. He then picks one bag and creates a children’s message from its contents.
