ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – On April 15th the Friends of the Atlantic Highlands Public Library held a reception celebrating National Library Week.  In attendance were AHPL Board members, borough officials, FOL members and library aficionados.  Awards of gratitude for their continued support were presented to the Friends of the Atlantic Highlands Public Library and to the Monmouth Lodge #172, F. & A. M.  In recognition of AHPL becoming part of the Monmouth County Library System on May 2nd, the outgoing local Board of the Library presented to the Atlantic Highlands’ mayor Fred Rast a check for $55,000 to be used to defray costs for furniture and shelving in the new library.
