ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS. NJ – Local lawyer Paul J. Cavise Jr. has filed to run for mayor on the Democratic ticket in the June Primary Election.

He will be running with Borough Council candidates Tamlyn K. Wilbourne and Deborah Zappulla. Wilbourne is a communications and financial specialist and Zappulla is a marketing manager.

Cavise was a Council candidate in 2008 while the two women are political newcomers.

Cavise will be seeking the four-year mayoral seat at stake in the November election while Wilbourne and Zappulla are running for two three-year Council terms.

Peter E. Donoghue, Democratic municipal chairman and former mayor, said Cavise, Wilbourne and Zappulla are running with the enthusiastic support of the local Democratic organization.
