Any person wishing to become a member of the Board of Education must meet all of the following qualifications:

  • ·Able to read and write
  • ·A resident of Highlands Borough for at least one (1) year preceding the date of appointment
  • ·Registered to vote in the district
  • ·Not directly/indirectly interested in a contract with or claim against the Board
  • ·Not disqualified pursuant to R.S. 19:4.1
