ASBURY PARK, NJ – Ellen Martin, who runs The Martin Gallery @re|BEARTH, welcomes you to her second artists’ reception on Saturday, April 2nd from 6 – 9 p.m. The show will present the work of accomplished photographers Geri Gray, joAnn lense, Michael S. Miller and Joan B. Myers; along with the paintings of Andrew Ricci and Zink520, who is Martin’s artistic collaborator.
Ellen Martin has met many talented painters and photographers over the past two years through her membership in many of the local arts organizations. She opened The Martin Gallery primarily to provide them with a space in which to show their work. For this show, “Street Seen,” she asked them for images of things, scenes or vignettes you might see from the street. In addition to their work, the show will also encompass a special group of “vanished” Asbury Park photographs.
The Martin Gallery is located in the re|BEARTH Art Supply shop at 535 Bangs Avenue in Asbury Park, on the corner of Bangs and Emory. There is some street parking; the public parking lot is one-half block away. The show will close on Sunday, May 1st at 5:00 p.m. There is no admission and the public is warmly invited. Please call 732-361-8615 for store hours.
Geri Gray is an award-winning photographer. In her own words, “My artistic passion is photography and the camera is my tool to capture and create what I see framed within my viewfinder, my canvas.”
joAnn lense says , “For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated and drawn to the magic, reality and mysticism of the photographic image. My camera enables me to explore beauty and the mundane; the obvious and the obscure.

Michael S. Miller was born in the Bronx and got his first camera at age five. Michael’s style is “classic” image making using today’s technologies. His love for nature and the environment is apparent in his images.
Joan B. Myers, another award-winning photographer, started taking photographs in the ‘80’s. Her love of photography has re-emerged with an accent on digital photography. Joan feels that creating art is not only serene but at the same time exhilarating for it increases one’s sense of being alive.
Andrew Ricci has been drawing, painting and interested in art his entire life. He attended Ocean County College where he received an associate’s degree in fine arts. Andrew’s passion for painting, drawing and the fine arts has never diminished through the years.
Zink520, aka OZRA, of X-Styles Studio is currently teaching a graffiti class which is being co-sponsored by re|BEARTH Art Supply and the Collective Art Tank, both of Asbury Park. Zink520 does both legal graffiti on walls, and canvas works. The smaller scale of his canvas work allows more people to see his work and is more appropriate for his collectors.
