ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – The Rev. Michael Riley will lead the annual Christmas Eve candlelight service at the First Presbyterian Church.

The service, which begins at 7 p.m., will largely be one of scripture and music and will include a meditation message by the church’s regular guest minister entitled “A New Family.” There will also be special Christmas music by the church’s adult choir, directed by David Nunez.

The final Advent candle will be lighted by the Riley family.

Riley will also preach at the regular 10 a.m. Sunday worship service Dec. 26, presenting a sermon called “Going Home From Christmas.” His message will deal with the post-Christmas letdown and the return from Bethlehem to the workaday world.

All area residents and visitors are invited to worship at the 120-year-old handicapped accessible church at the corner of Third and E. Highland Aves. A new municipal parking lot is available next to the Christian Education Building at 17 E. Highland Ave.

Child care for four-year-olds and younger is provided during the regular 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.
