ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – The Atlantic Highlands Recreation Committee is happy to present the annual Holiday Tree Lighting.  Join us at 3:45 at the gazebo area in the harbor where you will hear the angelic voices of the Atlantic Highlands Elementary School Chorus, Mother Teresa Regional Choir, Atlantic Highlands Girl Scouts and the Neighborhood Kids Carolers.  Kelly’s Dance Loft dancers will also  perform at the gazebo.

Following the performances at the gazebo, the Atlantic Highlands Recreation Committee invites everyone to then join them at the Atlantic Highlands Senior Citizen Centerto take photos with Santa and enjoy holiday treats while listening to the beautiful voices of the Henry Hudson A Capella Choir.

Following the tree lighting, the Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce presents Caroling Along First Avenue. Stroll First Ave. as these groups carol,  visiting businesses and restaurants.  Many of the Chamber  businesses will share hot drinks, goodies, and even door prizes with shoppers and carolers.  Holiday artwork will be on display in a few of the restaurants  and stores by student artists from Mother Teresa Regional School and Atlantic Highlands Elementary School.

During the day, you do not want to miss the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council Holiday Art Show at  the Atlantic Highlands Elementary School.  The AHAC art show will be open during the school’s annual holiday market, from 10 am – 4 pm on Saturday, December 4.  More than a dozen local artists will be exhibiting – some selling their work, some sharing with the community.  Admission is free.  View the amazing talent of AHAC members Marge Levine, Susan Fairgrieve, Mike Scherfen, David Byrne, John White, and Don Voorhees.
