UNION, NJ – The Baltimore Consort will present holiday carols and dance tunes from the British Isles, France and Appalachia on December 18, 2010 at 7:30pm in Enlow Hall. The Baltimore Consort features the talents of Mary Anne Ballard, viols & rebec; Mark Cudek, cittern, viols & Renaissance guitar; Larry Lipkis, viols & recorders; Ronn McFarlane, lutes; Mindy Rosenfeld, flute; and guest artists Jose Lemos, countertenor, and Danielle Svonavec, soprano.

The Baltimore Consort’s arrangements of early music speak to the heart as well as the mind, and their love for the early music of English/Scottish heritage has led them to delve into the rich trove of traditional balladry and dance tunes preserved in the Appalachian Mountains and Nova Scotia.  They have delighted audiences on both sides of the Atlantic and earned their CDs a place on the Billboard Magazine Top-Ten list.

Enlow Hall is located on the Nathan Weiss Graduate School campus of Kean University at 215 North Avenue in Hillside, N.J.  It is a new concert hall with precision acoustics unmatched by most other venues in the region. The stunning 312-seat concert space creates an intimate performance experience for audiences with close proximity to the line-up of world-class musicians and virtuosos of tomorrow.
