The Middletown school system has reached an all time low. When the curriculum requires impressionable teens to read a book like The Curious Incident of the dog in the night-time by Mark Haddon. If the secret committee is not qualified to choose appropriate summer reading material, they could easily just take an example from the neighboring school districts who seem to still have some common sense! I am outraged and disgusted as a parent and taxpayer that this ridiculous choice has to even be up for debate! We deserve a much better quality from our education system. Is there any self respect or moral dignity left in this country?
