Dear Editor,

During the last nine months I have come to know Sean Byrnes as a caring, committed and concerned member of the Middletown Township Committee.  His intelligence, integrity and motivation are evident at every Committee meeting.  His ideas for improving Middletown are sound and affordable.  Yet, unfortunately, the Republican majority on the Committee, a majority position they have held for 30 years, has blocked most of his proposals. The  budget problems we face now could have been avoided had his recommendations been approved. Being the only true fiscal conservative on the committee, he has never voted to increase your taxes.

For many years the needs and concerns of people in the many diverse areas of this town have been neglected and this must be stopped.

I am honored to be Sean Byrnes’ running mate because I share his vision and commitment to build a better quality of life here in Middletown, where all people feel their government is responsive to their needs and concerns.

On November 2, please support us in this common goal.  Cast your vote for Byrnes & Mahoney.  WE WILL WORK FOR YOU.
