To the Editor:

I am not terribly keen on getting involved in politics, but this November it is essential that Middletown taxpayers support Gerry Scharfenberger and Kevin Settembrino for Middletown Township Committee.

Scharfenberger and Settembrino are needed to work with Governor Christie to free our Township of unfunded mandates and state regulations that have been costing all of us millions and millions in taxes.

Democrat Sean Byrnes, on the other hand, spent last year running for Freeholder just using Middletown as a stepping-stone for higher office.  We have had enough of career politicians – not to mention that unions are the biggest supporters of Sean Byrnes’ campaigns.

We need people who really care about our town and will work with Chris Christie to reform government and defend taxpayers when it comes to bloated union salaries and benefits while everyone else is struggling.

As a concerned taxpayer, I will be voting for Gerry Scharfenberger and Kevin Settembrino for Middletown Township Committee because they will advocate for taxpayers instead of the special interests that are costing us taxpayers millions and millions of dollars.
