“The Letter” by V. Thomas Hoban
Opening remarks by Mayor Gerard P. Scharfenberger
A life-changing experience near the World Trade Center on September 11th inspired V. Thomas Hoban to write a letter of love and appreciation to his family, which became the basis for “The Letter,” his memoir about traveling the world, taking risks, and cherishing what matters most—family. “The Letter” will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund, which provides educational assistance for post secondary study to financially needy dependents of those killed or permanently disabled as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
September is Library Card Sign-up Month—a time to remind everyone that a library card is the smartest card of all.
