Lincroft, NJ – R. Dwayne Betts will speak at fundraiser sponsored by Alice James Books on Saturday, July 31 at 11:30am. The lecture will take place at a private home in Little Silver, guests must call host Laura McCullough to RSVP. A light brunch with wine and refreshments will be served.
Betts, a NAACP recipient, author, and educator, will read excerpts from his poetry collection, and his memoir A Question of Freedom, a story of literature, insanity, and finding manhood in prison.
Attendees welcomed to bring individual donation of $25, $50, $75, or $100. Guests who donate over $50 will receive Betts’s Book of poems and an AJB tote bag. All donations are tax deductible.
