HIGHLANDS, NJ – Kathryn Fedina has resigned as Superintendent/Principal of Henry Hudson Regional School.

The school board on Wednesday accepted her resignation effective June 30. 

The board also accepted the resignation of its board secretary Katherine McDonald and the school’s substance abuse awareness coordinator, Karen Van Natten.  Both will be leaving early next year.

Fedina’s salary is $129,323 and McDonald’s salary is $122,623. Fedina has been the superintendent of the school since 2001.

Fedina noted only that there were “other opportunities.”

In other business, the board voted in favor of a resolution to trim the 2010-2011 budget of $10,134,452 by $290,000.  The budget was defeated by voters in Atlantic Highlands and Highlands.
