MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Middletown Main Library has inaugurated a series of discussions for those who like to read and enjoy discussing what they’ve read.  The discussion series will be based on articles in prominent publications and will be scheduled at the library on the last Thursday of the month.  Moderated by retired physician Pat Larsen, the articles will be selected from three publications—“The Economist,” “The New York Review of Books,” and “The New Yorker.” The discussions for May are chosen from the May 8th edition of The Economist: “The Rise of Emerging Markets:  Be Worried” and “Reconciling Prosperity with Nature:  Simplifying the Argument.”  Both are book reviews.  Copies of discussion articles will be available at the Borrower’s Service Desk and at the library Coffee Bar for two weeks preceding the discussion.  Dates and times for these discussions follow: Thursday, May 27, 10 a.m., Thursday, June 24th, 10 a.m., Thursday, July 29th, 10 a.m., and Thursday, August 26th, 10 a.m.
