Patricia Elliott, a Hudson art teacher, and her husband listen as speakers praise him for his work with children and in the community at the ceremony. Among the speakers praising Elliott were lodge and Eastern Star members, Highlands Mayor Anna Little, former Atlantic Highlands Mayor Peter E. Donoghue and Richard “Slim” Faller, head of the lodge’s search committee. The Elliotts recently celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary.
