“Date Night” – Comedy Killer

A comedy starring 2 dry sense of humor comedians of Steve Carell & Tina Fey can’t go wrong
and doesn’t.

Light, fun, quick moving – it is just a winner.

Most enjoyable for all audiences over the age of 25.

Clean, easy to watch – simply good. May not be a box office smash, but will do pretty
darn good. Will also be a big hit with the DVD crowd.

“The Perfect Game” … Far From Perfect

This movie had all the makings of the perfect movie for me. Sports, kids, Latino culture, true
story, emotional happy ending etc.

What the heck went wrong …. everything!!

I think this movie was made on a shoe string. Horribly cast (for the adults) except for
Cheech Martin as the priest in the Mexican town of Monterrey. The filming and editing
was way too weird. And the script was far from captivating and involving.

Really, really boring. Disney or some other pro’s needed to take this mexican true story
of “Miracle on Ice” and make a magical film.

This movie will be in and out of the movie theatres so fast guaranteed.

A huge disappointment.

“City Island” – Sleeper Movie Hit of the Year

I swear I posted this review last weekend but must have gotten lost in cyberland (or I’m
just getting old).

City Island, which is playing at the White St. Theatre in Red Bank is the absolute sleeper
movie hit of the year.

Killer cast (Andy Garcia, Julianna Margulies, Alan Arkin and more) who each are all quirky,
have their own issues and are extremely likeable.

Everything is good about this movie. The story, the cast, the warmth, the words, the

Definitely the movie of the year so far in terms of pure entertainment value. Rated PG-13
