ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – George H. and Alma L. Wuesthoff will be honored for their community service with a tree planting at a 10:30 a.m. ceremony on Friday, April 30 at Veterans Park, opposite Borough Hall.

Wuesthoff is the retired long-time Atlantic Highlands Elementary School superintendent and a former borough councilman. Mrs. Wuesthoff is a retired teacher and pianist and is active in the local book club, among other organizations.

Mr. Wuesthoff is also a former teacher, a member of the Atlantic Highlands Public Library Board and treasurer of All Saints Episcopal Church, Navesink. He is a past member of the Shade Tree Commission and the Atlantic Highlands Harbor Commission.

The tree will be planted as part of the Shade Tree Commission’s program to honor worthy local residents.
