George William Janus, 88, of Oskaloosa, KS., died Friday, April 23, at the Hickory Pointe Care Center in Oskaloosa. He was born on August 12, 1921 in Atlantic Highland, NJ., the son of William and Anna Bergmann Janus. He served in the United States Army. He worked as a linesman for the Kansas Board of Public Utilities in Kansas City, KS., retiring in 1984.  He married Bernice V. Attebery on December 29, 1944 at Knoxville, KY., She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Bruce and Brian Janus, both of Oskaloosa, KS., and George Janus, Branson, MO., two daughters, Kathy Ayres and LeAnn Bellinger, both of Oskaloosa, 15 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Private family services are planned, burial will be at the Ozawkie Cemetery, Ozawkie, KS.
