MIDDLETOWN, NJ – The Mayor and Township Committee have proclaimed May 9 through May 15 as National Police Week in Middletown in honor of the community’s outstanding law enforcement officers.

The Police Department will offer tours of headquarters during this week. Open houses will be held on Friday May 7th, Tuesday May 11th, and Thursday, May 13th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Members of the community including Boy and Girl Scouts, civic groups, students and seniors are invited to visit headquarters during the event. Guide tours will be conducted for residents to get acquainted with the facility and its operations. Call Ms. Garrity in the Police Chief’s Office at 732-615-2039 to schedule a tour.

In addition the annual Middletown Police Memorial Service will be held rain or shine at Police Headquarters, 1 Kings Highway, on Friday, May 14 at 11a.m. The public is invited to attend. The service will be held at Middletown Police Memorial, located at the corner of Kings Highway and Route 35.
