RED BANK, NJ – Why does the World call the day that a man was tortured and killed, “Good Friday”? Join your neighbors in attending and learning why and how this strange name came to be, and how it changed the world forever.

The service begins at noon, Friday April 2, 2010 at Red Bank’s First Baptist Church located at 84 Maple Ave. Pastor Tyrone Choate is hosting this year’s service and supported by messages presented by 7 gifted area ministers. Together they will answer this and other questions in detail.

First Baptist Church is an unofficial landmark in Red Bank and enjoyed their first service in 1849. While it has grown with the times, they began and remain a dedicated part of the community. Today it hosts many 12 step groups, a weekly 10 AM Tuesday morning Bible Study, weekly family supper and Bible Studies beginning at 6 PM on Wednesday evenings, and Sunday Worship at 10:30 AM. They provide child care, creative children’s programs and exciting Youth gatherings.
