Tuesday, April 6

Middletown, NJ – Shop or dine at the Whole Foods Market: Middletown store on Tuesday, April 6th and 5% of the day’s net sales will be donated to Monmouth County Friends of the Parks (the Friends), a nonprofit organization that provides financial support exclusively for Monmouth County Park System enhancements; including historical and natural resource preservation, recreation for urban youth, and activities for individuals with disabilities within our community.

Representatives from the Friends will be on site at the store on April 6th to discuss the many programs offered by the Monmouth County Parks System and the recreational activities that can be enjoyed on the more than 14,500 acres of land that comprise Monmouth County’s 38 parks.

Whole Foods Market holds 5 Percent Days four times a year, designating a different local nonprofit organization to receive the proceeds from each event.

“Whole Foods Market strives to support charitable causes and community organizations on a regular basis,” said Susan Henderson, Marketing Team Leader at the Whole Foods Market: Middletown store. “Friends of the Parks is a natural choice for this 5 % Day, as April marks the national celebration of Earth Month and our county’s beautiful, award-winning park system is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.”
