ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – The Area Association of Community Churches (AACC) is made up of all of the churches in the Atlantic Highlands, Highlands and Navesink. We have monthly meetings for clergy and community events such as Vacation Bible School, an annual Thanksgiving Service and various services during the Holy Week.

This year, in addition to services held by individual churches during Holy Week, the AACC will have the following joint services:


Good Friday Service held at the First Presbyterian Church – 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM

The service will be centered on the Seven Last Words of Jesus from the Cross.  There will be music, time to reflect and the following pastors will speak:

1:50 p.m. – “I Am Thirsty” – Mr. Dwayne Harris, Quinn Chapel AME

2:15 p.m. – “It Is Finished” – Rev. Phil Raynis, Kings Highway Faith Fellowship

2:40 p.m. – “Father, Into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit” – Rev. Theresa Smith, Quinn Chapel AME


Easter Sunrise Service, Atlantic Highlands Harbor Gazebo, 6:30 a.m.

Music will be provided by Carl and Laurie Gentry. The preacher for the morning will be Rev. Jill Hubbard-Smith. Her text is Matthew 28:1-10 and her sermon title is “Do Not Be Afraid.”

We invite the community to come and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

In case of inclement weather, the Easter Sunrise Service will be held at Central Baptist Church.
