RED BANK COMMITTEE FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES

For months now I have been having conversations with various residents and business owners in Red Bank. The majority of them are fed up with the political mud slinging and rhetoric that has been the modus operandi over the last several elections. Mud slinging and infighting between the political parties ignore the qualifications, ability and plans that any candidate might have for any position they are running for.

The leadership of the day to day operations of the town of Red Bank as well as the ability to provide leadership for future issues is critical to the future of our town. Red Bank, like most small towns and cities have major budget, planning and tax issues that need qualified leaders who have the ability to deal with a 17 million dollar budget. They also have to have the dedication to Red Bank residents and the business community to form a balance that involves our town as a “great place to live work and play.”

“The Red Bank Committee for Qualified Candidates” is being formed. It will be a bipartisan committee formed to examine publicly the qualifications of candidates running for public office. We will hold a number of public “interviews” to ask questions of the candidates regarding their qualifications, their plans and policies for both present and future problems concerning Red Bank. These questions posed by this committee will be geared to examine the “ability to function” of the candidates in Red Bank running for public office. They need to have the ability to run our 17 million dollar a year town budget while providing for the future health and development of our town. The goal of this committee will be:

  1. To form a committee of residents and business leaders to learn and explore the qualifications of candidates running for office in Red Bank.
  2. To promote the stoppage of political mud slinging which clouds the real issue of qualification and ability of candidates to function in the office they are running for.
  3. Set up specific questions regarding present and future issues our town is and will be encountering and their programs for dealing with those issues by the candidates.
  4. Discloser of any and all past and present employment, job descriptions and letters of qualification from past employers to be publicly presented.
  5. If self employed or a government employee a history of employment performance should be provided. In other words; a resume.
  6. To inform the citizens of Red Bank or any and all finding from these interviews.

If you would like to be part of this committee please email me at Danssteak@aol.com.
