GREAT FUND RAISERS TO ATTEND There are a couple of charity events coming up that are worth attending both to help our local charities as well physical and mental outings for ourselves. The first one coming up is a giant tented tail gate party with a polo match on Sunday September 18th in Colts Neck. It will be held at the Colts neck polo field and will start at 2 PM. The proceeds will benefit Make a Wish foundation. The event is being sponsored by Katharine and David Bender with additional sponsorship from The Sheehy Family of Monmouth County and The Rizzo Family also of Monmouth county. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. A wish gives a child the chance to forget treatments and hospital stays as they plan their own unique wish, anticipate it, experience it to the fullest and then relive it through happy memories that will sustain them and their family through the days ahead The polo match will be presented by the Colts Neck Polo Club, and will run concurrently with the tented tailgate party. Yours truly will be catering the affair with a bar of beer supplied by Shore Point Distributors, wines by R & R Wines, and water and soda by Foodtown Supermarkets. Tickets are $75 for adults and children are free. Tickets will be sold at the event or you can reserve them by calling me at 732 241 1401. The food will be as follows: three chefs will man a 24 foot table serving Turkey w cranberry on 7 grain bread with coleslaw, Prosuito w shaved parmignon on Italian bread with olive oil, Ham and Swiss on Russian rye with grainy mustard, Grilled Hamburgers and Cheese Burgers on Potato rolls, Foot long Hot Dogs w sauerkraut & relishes, Cheese Steak Sandwich on Italian bread and Grilled Egg Plant w Grilled tomato & mozzarella on 7 grain bread with deserts of: Lindsey tarts, Oat meal and Chocolate Chip Cookies. This will be a fun event for everyone. We would love to see you there.
