THE MOB

No not that mob…I am talking about the mobs of people that came to the Belmar Food Festival this past weekend. The weather was perfect and the people came out in droves. With 37 restaurants serving seafood, bands playing all day and a wine tent serving NJ wines from 11 AM to 7 PM Saturday and Sunday over 40,000 people made the event the festival of the year. Years ago Riverfest in Red Bank was named one of the top 100 outdoor events in the United States. Today that honor is held by the Belmar Seafood Festival.

It is a title well deserved due to the ongoing work of Mike Damato and her sister Ilene who have kept the same great food venders coming back year after year. This year was one of the most successful ever with the weather being perfect and the food venders at the top of their game. Next year will be bigger and better as food, service and entertainment will be putting on the biggest show ever.

The Red Bank 3rd of July fireworks is your next destination for family and friends. We are tied with Houston Texas for having the second largest fireworks display in the United States. The number one display is the NYC Macy’s 4th of July show held on the Hudson River.

Red Bank is a much easier place to get to then NYC. There are many places to view the Red Bank Fireworks from Marine Park, Riverside Park and all public access areas around the town. Food venders will be everywhere or you can pack your own cooler.
