Volunteers are needed for two upcoming events in our town.

On Saturday October 22 at 9 AM our town will participate in the 20 th Annual Clean Ocean Action Fall Beach Sweeps. Participation in our town for this event is always excellent and many volunteers are needed for this effort. If you are able to help please meet the volunteers in the Large Municipal Parking lot on Beachway near Laurel avenue on 10/22 at 9 AM. Please bring your own work gloves. Please remember this is a rain or shine event so come prepared for the weather of the day. Please help spread the word about this volunteer effort by asking all your friends, relatives and neighbors to participate.

On Saturday October 29, our town will have the 5 th Annual Halloween Monster bash Celebration. Again, this year as it was last year the event will be held in Bolger School and will have two parts. In the afternoon from Noon to three PM there will be a costume judging contest open to all Keansburg children 12 and under. A parent or guardian must accompany all participants in order to be eligible for prizes. Costume judging will take place in three age groups space about an hour apart. There will be events and games for all who attend. In the evening for children ages 13 to 16 there will be a Haunted Halloween ball, costumes are optional but recommended. There will be a DJ for entertainment and the Costume ball will be held from 6 PM to 9 PM. Again, volunteers are needed to assist in this effort. If you can help there are meetings of the Keansburg Recreation Board every Thursday evening at 8 PM in Borough Hall to plan for this event. This event is a joint collaborative effort of the Keansburg Borough Council, our Recreation Board and the PTA.
