Dear Atlantic Highlands Herald,

The Atlantic Highlands Herald and editor have been especially sensitive and attentive to reporting on many issues that are near and dear to my heart, including but not limited to wildlife, the environment and conservation matters.

The recent June 29, 2006 edition of the Atlantic Highlands Herald carried a picture of roosters that had been abandoned and taken up residence at an office complex in Holmdel.

Many of the employees had grown fond of the extremely friendly poultry and cared for them by making sure they had feed and water on a daily basis.  The caring office workers were disheartened to learn that the building's management had handed down an edict declaring feeding the fowl as forbidden.

The call for help was answered by the Herald.  A reader of the Herald has come forward and is interested in adopting all four roosters.

As a result of the Herald's article, it is hoped that a forever home for the friendly four has been found in Colts Neck.
