DEMOCRATS ARE BANKRUPT OF IDEAS

Too bad for John S. Kaminski, Reader's Write article "Majority Disapprove of President Bush". He sounds like the perfect poster-child for the Democratic Party - full of negative epithets, playing the victim, saying everyone else is wrong, but proposing NO NEW IDEAS.

If you want to tell folks that you are angry and frustrated, OK. But first find out the root cause of your anger and frustration, get your facts straight, site your sources, and express your ideas like an adult instead of a half-baked, hormonal 14 year-old.

Maybe you are angry and frustrated because the Democratic party, who is supposed to represent your ideals, is completely bankrupt for a plan, an idea, a proposal for real progress? All they do is criticize the team (or our Republican President) who is trying to get something done. Aren't you embarrassed that you don't have anything more to offer than sour grapes?

Hello?

John Corzine is another example of someone without a real idea - notice how well he is following thru on his proposals for lowering taxes step by step? What happened to that? I guess it wasn't a real plan. He, like Mr. Kaminski, spoke before he thought and worked out something truly constructive to offer. I'm giving Corzine the benefit of the doubt here, because in his case it is more like lying. (Too bad we can't slap politicians with perjury charges, because lying to get elected is absolutely criminal.)

We are in a sad state in this country if we can't have intelligent debate among ourselves (an exchange of opposing ideas - ideas being the key). That's what gets me angry and frustrated.

I love the feature being run in the Asbury Park Press right now where readers are writing in THEIR IDEAS for lowering taxes. These folk have exerted more brain power and real caring than Mr. Kaminski and Mr. Corzine combined.

I have an idea for confused and angry people like Mr. Kaminski and self-ignorant politicians like Mr. Corzine and his ilk to ponder and put into practice: the idea that it is immorality that is un American and a threat to our national security. Therefore, if you don't have anything constructive to contribute - zippering your mouth will at least save you and your fellows your dignity.

I hope you and yours get the point. And soon.
