Dear Editor;
The best reforms of our immigration policy would make our borders safer and the policy fairer. I am sick of people blaming one immigrant group or another for all of Americas problems. In order to make immigration fair we should be neutral about race, region or religion etc. My solution is let nobody immigrate to America for 4 years. There would be no exceptions.
Why? It would be fair to all groups and no one could claim that someone from another group or country is getting special treatment.
Another reason for this is to make our borders safer. Our borders with Canada & Mexico are extremely easy to sneak accross. People also come to America on planes or ships and pretend to want to take a vacation or some classes and then wind up staying. We don't thoroughly check people coming in here. Sometimes criminals sneak in. By banning immigration for 4 years we can find and seal the holes in our border and obviously make America safer. Then we can debate if we want to change our policy.
Sincerely,
Neil Harry Lori
