I JUST NEED TO THINK OF YOU
by Aurora Antonovic
When the night falls
With its cloaking,
Silver stars and velvet black,
When the stillness
Of the night air,
Underscores all that I lack,
When my sighs turn midnight blue,
I just need to think of you.
When the daylight
Sparkles to me,
Shining light and skies so clear,
When the daybreak
With its glimmer,
Makes me wish that you were here,
When the daystar comes to view,
I just need to think of you.
When I’m lonely,
Silence expands,
Deafening and motionless,
Peace eludes me,
Calm escapes me,
And I’m met with gloominess,
Woefulness seems to ensue,
I just need to think of you.
Merry moments
Beckon to me,
Air exudes with happiness,
Gleeful gleamings,
Brilliant splendor,
Fill me with exuberance,
Joyful moments fill anew,
I just need to think of you.
Morning, evening,
Daybreak, nightfall,
Daytime changing to starlight,
Sorrow, sadness,
Jubilation,
Lowering plains, lofty heights,
Whatever happenings endue,
I just need to think of you
