HAPPY THANKSGIVING
The trees are golden,
The air is chilled,
It is Thanksgiving time.
The leaves fall from the trees
And crunch as one walks their way
Through them.
These are the simple pleasures
Of the Thanksgiving season!
The warmth of a burning fireplace,
Pumpkin pie and hot coffee,
Conversations of upcoming Christmas parties,
Along with the joy and love of friends and family,
These are the simple pleasures
Of this traditional American season.
