A MOMENT OF TRUE REFLECTION

There will come a time when all these memories of mine will
simply fade like an old pair of jeans.
There will be a day when every word I say will be forgotten
with most of my dreams.
Now some people stress life is merely a test, a stepping stone
toward something far greater.
I’m so unsure. I don’t know what it’s all for, so I go through
life a debater.
I’ll be a man for as long as I can, ‘till the blood lies still in my
vein, and when I’ve met my demise, under bright blue skies my
children shall carry my name.
