WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND THE GREATER NEW YORK BILLY GRAHAM CRUSADE? On June 24-26, 2005 the well-known evangelist, Billy Graham will hold a three-day Crusade in Flushing Meadows Corona Park v, New York. The Crusade events highlight a presentation by Billy Graham, and will have music by Steven Chapman, Jars of Clay and many more popular Christian groups. More detailed information can be found at www.BillyGraham.org. Central Baptist Church has rented buses for Friday and Saturday (and if there is enough demand we will get one for Sunday). Give us a call or email us at cbcbeacon@aol.com and we will be glad to reserve you a place on the bus. The cost of a round-trip ticket is $25.00. The Friday bus will leave from Central Baptist Church at 4:30 PM for the 7:30 PM program. The Saturday bus will leave at 3:30 PM for the 6:30 PM program. Bring a portable chair or a blanket since the Crusade is in the park. There is no charge for the event; however, a free-will offering will be taken. Why should you attend the Billy Graham Evangelistic Crusades? 1. If you have never made a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, Billy Graham is one of the best communicators of the Gospel. If you have doubted, if you have delayed, if your curiosity was never aroused, this is the time to go and see an evangelistic event. Take a day and you will be blessed for eternity. 2. If you are a Christian and you always wanted to bring someone to hear the Gospel, this is a perfect opportunity for you to invite a friend or a neighbor. The whole two hour program is excellent - the music, the introductions, the speaker, and the invitation. This is evangelism at a superb level. 3. If you are a Christian and have never seen a Billy Graham Crusade, this is the opportune time to go. 4. If you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior during a crusade either by being in a stadium or listening to radio or TV, this is an excellent opportunity to return and to celebrate. Make it an anniversary celebration of the day of your salvation. 5. If you were at the first Billy Graham Crusade in New York in or at the subsequent one, it is time to return and to celebrate the fact that you have been part of a great manifestation of God’s Holy Spirit beginning in and continuing today. 6. If you are a historian, this is an opportune time to go. Every church historian recognizes that Billy Graham is the best evangelist that the world has seen. You will have an historic opportunity to see the evangelist in person. Due to his advanced age the Billy Graham Crusade has announced that this will most likely be his last crusade in New York. If at all possible, take this opportunity to go. Personally, I have been involved in a number of the Billy Graham Crusades and each one of them has been a fantastic blessing. Do no overlook this great opportunity to be blessed by the Lord.
