Music Therapy
The American Music Therapy Association (8455 Colesville Road, Suite 1000, Silver Spring, MD 20910) distributes a leaflet, Music Therapy as a Career, and a reprint of a magazine article, "Music's Surprising Power to Heal," which describes the field and lists colleges and universities with training programs.
Accountant
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (1211 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10036-8775) has prepared a very helpful summary, Accounting Education and Career Information for Students. It also distributes a video, "Accounting: The One Degree with 360° of Possibilities", and a CD-ROM, "Room Zoom: The CPA
Sourcedisc."
Horticulture
A very useful four-page handout from the American Horticultural Society (7931 East Boulevard Drive, Alexandria, VA 22308-1300) lists major career opportunities in the field and contact information for related associations. The publication, entitled Careers in Horticulture, sells for $1.50.
Chiropractor
A career packet is available from the American Chiropractic Association (1701 Clarendon Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22209), containing Chiropractic Education, which lists the 16 schools accredited to train for a field and a brochure, Planning a Career in Chiropractic.
Hospitality
Success From the Start: Your Career in Hospitality is an attractive booklet distributed by the American Hotel and lodging Association (1201 New York Avenue, NW, Suite 600, Washington, DC 2005-3931).
