RED BANK, NJ – Red Bank RiverCenter is proud to announce the opening of the holiday season in Red Bank with the installation of the Christmas tree on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 9am at 30 Monmouth Street in the Dublin House Courtyard. The tree is being sponsored this year by the wonderful generosity of the Asbury Park Press and sponsorship will cover the cost of the tree and installation. The white spruce is coming from Colonial Nursery in Lincroft and will be installed with the assistance of Steve Garcia of the Tree Man, Beckers Tree Service, Jim Bruno of Powerhouse Signworks, Red Bank Department of Public Works and the Red Bank Police Department. The tree will be lit during the holiday concert on Nov. 26th along with all of the beautiful decorations lining the streets of the Red Bank Business District.
The holiday season events will begin in Red Bank on Friday, November 26th with the Red Bank Town Lighting presented by Jersey Mike’s Subs, Riverview Medical Center and Shore Point Distributing Co. For the 17th year, Holiday Express will be performing all of your holiday favorites in concert beginning at 7:00pm, on Broad Street, at Canal Street. Broad Street from Harding Road to Monmouth Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 4:00-11:00pm.
On the same day, for the ninth year, there will be a free Santa Express train that departs from the Little Silver Train Station and arrives at the Red Bank Train Station with a parade down Monmouth Street in time for the Holiday Express concert. This event is sponsored by The Galleria at Red Bank and Sourlis International Realty. Starting at 4:00pm, the Little Silver Train Station will be hosting Santa & Mrs. Claus who will be taking pictures with the children; hot cocoa and special holiday goodies will also be given out. The train will be leaving Little Silver at approximately 6:25pm for Red Bank. Santa, along with Mrs. Claus will be the grand marshals of the parade and will make an appearance later in the evening at the concert.
