On February 4, 2019 at 2:09 P.M., Patrolmen Travis Sodon and Patrick Anderson were dispatched to a Bayshore Plaza business regarding a shoplifting incident. As a result of the Officer’s investigation, Bryan Plaia, age 33, Highlands, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

On February 8, 2019 at 12:43 P.M., Patrolman Travis Sodon was dispatched to a Bayshore Plaza business regarding a shoplifting incident. As a result of the Officer’s investigation, Michael J. Coffey, age 34, Middletown, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

On February 15, 2019 at 4:33 P.M., Patrolman Travis Morgan stopped Ronald J. Richter Jr., age 53, Wall Township, for a motor vehicle violation. As a result of the stop, Richter was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On February 19, 2019 at 10:39 P.M., Patrolmen Patrick Anderson and Travis Sodon conducted a motor vehicle stop after a vehicle was observed with a driver’s side headlight out. As a result of the stop, Anthony Digeso, age 62, Keyport, was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and littering.

On February 23, 2019 at 3:16 P.M., Patrolmen Scott Chenoweth and Michael Zudonyi stopped a vehicle for having an expired registration. As a result of the stop, Todd A. Lambe, age 43, Matawan, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Middletown Township Municipal Court.

On February 23, 2019 at 3:13 A.M., Patrolmen Patrick Anderson and Travis Sodon stopped Grant Henning, age 24, Somers Point, for a motor vehicle violation. As a result of the stop, Henning was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

On February 25, 2019 at 2:07 A.M., Patrolmen Jonathan Elmer, Travis Sodon, and Patrick Anderson were dispatched to the municipal harbor in reference to a suspicious person who was observed by Harbor Security loitering in a public restroom. As a result of the Officer’s investigation, Michael T. Wardell, age 26, Whiting, was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice after he gave the Officer’s a false name. Investigation revealed Wardell had outstanding warrants from the Manchester Township, Wall Township, and Toms River Municipal Courts. Wardell was turned over to the Toms River Police Department.

On February 27, 2019 at 5:07 P.M., Patrolman Michael Zudonyi conducted a motor vehicle stop after a vehicle was observed with a brake light which was not working. As a result of the stop, Juan Balcazar, age 22, West Orange, was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.
