police cruisersHAZLET, NJ - On 11/9/18 at approximately 8:00PM Patrolman Shaun Ketcham attempted to stop a 2015 Ford Focus traveling northbound on State Highway 35 near Union Avenue in Holmdel. The vehicle was displaying an expired temporary registration tag. The vehicle initially failed to pull over and continued northbound for approximately one half mile. The driver eventually stopped near Poole Avenue in Hazlet Township. Subsequent to the stop, it was discovered that the temporary registration was fraudulent and the vehicle had been reported stolen from a business in Hammonton, NJ.

The driver and passenger were identified as Alison Montalvo and Daniel Ruckstuhl, last known addresses in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Montalvo was arrested for Receiving/Possessing Stolen Property (2015 Ford Focus), possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper possession of hypodermic syringes and driving while suspended. Additionally, she was wanted by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear and had active warrants from Ewing Township and Pleasantville City Municipal Courts.The passenger, Daniel Ruckstuhl was arrested for Unlawful taking of means of conveyance/knowingly riding in a stolen vehicle, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper possession of hypodermic syringes. Additionally, he was wanted by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear and had active warrants from both Manchester and Hamilton Township Municipal Courts. Both Montalvo and Ruckstuhl were lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
