Pastor Kathy Genus will return to the pulpit on Sunday, July 22.
Thus Sunday he church will begin a new six-week sermon series entitled "Tell Me the Stories of Jesus through Song."
Each week the 127-year-church will focus on the message behind some of our old favorite hymns and work our way to new and contemporary music. Each service will begin with a short hymn sing and will include a variety of music.
"July 22nd will be centered around "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" for the message," according to Genus. "We hope you will join us as we connect our favorite hymns to scripture and explore their meaning."
All members and area residents are invited to Sunday's 10 a.m. worship service at the Third and East Highland Avenues. It will be preceded and followed by refreshments.
The church's monthly summer worship services at the Harbor Gazebo will resume on July 22, followed by services on Aug. 26 and Sept.23.
