Jami Leis, 35, was found deceased in the area of Brighton Ave and Rockefeller Dr. in Wall Township.
Wall Township Police Department responded to an initial call at 10:29 a.m. reporting the discovery of a body wrapped in a tarp and immediately called for assistance from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Route 18 southbound exit ramps 7A and 7B were closed for several hours for the investigation along with Brighton Avenue between Route 18 and Romano Blvd. New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Department of Transportation assisted with the road closures. All roads were reopened at approximately 3:24 p.m.
There were no visible injuries to Leis. An autopsy is being performed to determine cause and manner of death.
