RED BANK, NJ - Clean Ocean Action (COA) has been testing the Navesink River water quality at many points every week for many months, and sending the samples away for analysis, This has enabled all who enjoy the Navesink to better understand the 'mechanics' of it's water pollution, and to take steps to mitigate and/or eliminate sources of pollution. This data-driven approach enabled NMHA to sccesfully restart its River Rangers summer on-water program of kids age 10-14 this year.
COA is looking for more "Citizen Scientists" and volunteer training sessions will be held on Tuesday, September 19th and Tuesday, October 3rd, both at 5:30pm at the Monmouth Boat Club in Red Bank!
You only need to attend ONE evening to learn what to do, then, with others, go out and collect samples for COA's partners to analyze.
