KEYPORT, NJ - Calling all dog lovers! Join us for the return of Dog’s Night Out, an evening dedicated to “man’s best friend” from 5-9PM on June 29th! All dog lovers (and their pups!) are welcome to enjoy local vendors, live entertainment, a farmer’s market and – if you’re still looking for your furry companion – showcases by several local rescues with adoptable dogs.
Hosted by the Keyport Bayfront Business Cooperative (KBBC), the annual summer event commemorates the furrier, four-legged members of the family. Families are encouraged to bring their canine companions to socialize on a closed West Front Street in Keyport and enjoy an evening full of fun.
Dog lovers will love the festive vendors and canine-friendly outdoor shopping along West Front Street, as well as a farmer’s market featuring local produce. A live musical performance by HP & The Hot Takeout Band will take place at 7PM in the minipark overlooking the beautiful Raritan Bay. Then, snuggle up with your pup at dusk for a special viewing of “A Dog’s Purpose.”
Those looking to add a four-legged family member to their homes will love the Adopt-A-Thon, where they can support local rescue shelters and meet adoptable dogs. Come visit and play with dogs looking for their “fur-ever” homes and find the perfect new addition to your family.
As with any dog-friendly event, the KBBC asks that attendees please be considerate of their own pets and other furry friends. Only bring your dog if they are up to date on all shots and are comfortable making new friends. Make sure you curb your dog at all times. The KBBC is not responsible for your pet, so please make sure they secured on a leash and by your side for the entirety of the event.
Dog’s Night Out is a part of the KBBC’s Keyport Thursdays summer series. Join us Thursday evenings in June, July and August from 6-9PM for movies, music, and more! You can learn more about Keyport Thursdays and other upcoming events in Keyport by visiting our website: VisitKeyport.org.
