HIGHLANDS, NJ - Voters chose to go in a new direction, selecting newcomers Carolyn Broullon (pronouced Brew-Yawn) and Claudette D'Arrigo to fill 2 seats on the Council.   Carolyn Broullon earned 426 votes and Claudette D'Arrigo tallied 355.   

Incumbents Kevin Redmond got 257 votes and  Tara K. Ryan-Killeen garnered 294 votes. 

Former Councilman William Caizza declared his candidacy late in the race and did not attend the candidates forum held last week.  He got 185 votes.

 

With school election moved to November, Highlands voters selected 2 people to serve as representatives on the Henry Hudson Regional School Board.  Jay Mullan (459) and David Dowd (477) ran unopposed.

The Highlands Elementary School board vote, also unopposed went to Maryann Fiel (428), Irene Campbell (473) and Nina Light Flannery (474) votes.
