Middletown Township, NJ – The township is launching a new website that enhances communications between residents and local government.
“The site we’re launching builds upon the success of our already award-winning one. The new design puts a fresh face on this critical information resource. Enhancements includes streamlined navigation and a broader array of notification options,” said Mayor Stephanie Murray.
Residents will continue to receive alerts from the township about emergencies and other important happenings. With the new system, registered users can customize how and when they receive alerts. Delivery options are voice, email and/or sms text.
A new communication feature is Notify Me which offers customized email notifications. Residents can opt to receive updates about activities, agendas, and service updates from township departments. Middletown’s website, www.middletownnj.org, has been recognized Monmouth University and the Asbury Press as being the best site statewide terms of it usability and transparency. The site continues serve as a portal where residents can report problems, submit questions, pay taxes online, register for recreation programs, view meeting agendas and related documents and more.
The site, powered by Civic Plus, is integral to the township’s cache of communication resources. The township also provides news and information via Facebook at MiddletownNjTownHall and Twitter at middletownnj. Middletown offers a community bulletin board on Comcast Channel 20, and Verizon FiOS 26, and emergency radio station at 1620am. A printed newsletter is mailed two times a year.
