RED BANK, NJ - The Borough of Red Bank has contracted with a private company to provide Household waste/recycling curbside collection services beginning Tuesday, September 1.   Household waste /recycling services to Red Bank residents will remain the same.  Household waste collection will remain on the same days already designated as will recycling collection.  There is no need to obtain a new trash can as the new vendor will continue to collect from the existing cans.

Bulk collection will continue as it has in the past.  An appointment must be made with our Public Utilities Department for bulk items to be collected on the assigned days.  The Recycling Center on West Sunset Avenue will see no change in operation and will continue to be staffed by Borough employees.

The department has made every effort to reduce staffing over the past several months through retirements and attrition. No Borough employees will be laid off as a result of this contract.  Public Works employees who were assigned to the sanitation division will be reassigned to other divisions within the department.

For questions regarding Household waste/Recycling/Bulk pick up services, please contact Public Utilities at 732-530-2770.
